A Leading Provider of Humanitarian Aid to Syria
Many Syrians now live in poverty, unable to secure the basic food and non-food items necessary for household survival. Sunrise-USA supports thousands of registered families through its food basket program, providing milk and baby formula to vulnerable families with young children.
Each food basket is designed to feed a family of five for two weeks. A small basket typically includes 4 kg of sugar, 2 kg of margarine, 4 kg of rice, 2 liters of oil, 0.5 kg of tea, 2 kg of tomato sauce, 4 kg of lentils, 4 kg of bulgur, 2 kg of beans, and 0.5 kg of za’atar.
The work of Sunrise-USA is ongoing, as the need continues to grow. Our dedicated volunteers on the ground enable us to send aid to refugee camps and small towns around the camps, where people are in urgent need.
Sunrise-USA is committed to delivering lifesaving food to the children and families who need it most. In addition to our two-week food baskets, we also distribute larger baskets that sustain a family for an entire month.
