According to UNICEF, 5.6 million children are living in dire situations inside Syria. 1.9 million children are now refugees in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, Egypt and other countries in North Africa.

More than 3,700 Syrian children in Jordan and Lebanon are living without one or both of their parents, or without any adult caregiver. Their parents may have died, been detained, or sent their children into neighboring country refugee camps for their safety.

The Sunrise-USA orphan sponsorship fund provides orphans with monthly support, in most cases, for a full year. The food, money, and shelter are provided by relief workers who are on the ground in Syrian provinces including Aleppo, Idlib, Hama, Homs, and Damascus Suburbs. We have partners, volunteers, and employees in Syria that make sure that the funds are being appropriately delivered to those who need it most.  Sunrise-USA has spent more than $2.7 million on orphan support during the last three years.

More than 50% of Syrian refugees are children who have lost everything. Orphans are on the cusp of losing their battle as they live without food, healthcare and schooling. For less than $2 a day, Sunrise-USA can make sure that they have food to survive, access to clean water and urgently needed medical care.

If you want to help these orphans feel like kids again, if you want them to feel safe, and if you want to give them hope that the world is a better place, then donate today. This ongoing, monthly program helps ensure that they are given the opportunity, at the very minimum, to survive.
